Here are some of the best things to do for a perfect honeymoon that we recommend in Andaman:

Sound and Light Show at the Cellular Jail

One of the best places to visit in Andaman, Cellular Jail has a fascinating story. Juvenile quips about the Cellular Jail being a metaphor for marriage aside, this iconic structure is a must-visit during your trip to the Andaman Islands. Located in Port Blair, Andaman, the Cellular Jail is more intimately known to Indians as Kaala Paani – the fearsome prison where many of the Indian freedom fighters were sentenced during the struggle. Built between 1896 and 1906, the Cellular Jail gets its name from the structure of the individual cells that it is comprised of. Today, the prison stands as a museum, a hospital and most importantly, a reminder of the great Indian freedom struggle. The most hair raising experience at the Cellular Jail is during the sound and light show that makes the walls of the prison come alive to history. The voice of veteran actor Om Puri guides you through the cells and the corridors of the prison and the long and beautiful shadows that they cast on our lives.

A Tour of Ross Island

Imagine a secluded island full of ruined castles, a lighthouse and deer roaming around freely. Does that sound romantic? That’s Ross Island for you. With a long history of British colonisation and Japanese conquest, Ross Island stands today as a densely forested island that gives the impression that it is completely uninhabited. Within the island lie beautiful architectural ruins from the colonial period. Once you are done exploring the island, get to Sanjay Gandhi Water Sports Complex to enjoy activities like jet skiing, scuba diving and snorkelling with your partner.

Glass Bottom Boat Ride near Jolly Bouy Island

Andaman is best known for its incredible aquatic life. With hundreds of species of coral reef, sea anemones, octopi and exotic fish, Andaman is perhaps more beautiful underwater than above it. Uncover the beauty of the underwater kingdom lying beneath the Andaman Sea, without getting your toes wet. Ocean lovers would really appreciate a glass bottom boat ride in its shallow waters with a chance to see corals up close and also has mesmerizing picnic spots with natural picturesque environment. Get close to your partner and gaze keenly into the mesmerizing world of corals and marine life of Port Blair. These glass-bottomed boats ply between Water Sports Complex and North Bay Coral Island, and between Port Blair and Jolly Buoy Island.

Scuba Diving Around Havelock

If you are a little more adventurous, it is time to get inside the water. And you will be duly rewarded for your courage – for Andaman is one of the most coveted spots for scuba diving in the world. Whether you are a beginner looking for just a taste of underwater life or a certified diver ready to take on the challenge of the depths of the open sea, Andaman has you covered. Many scuba diving schools in Andaman offer everything from guided dives to short term and long term certification courses. The best diving spots in Andaman are around Havelock, Port Blair and Neil Island – do not miss the fabled Margherita’s Mischief near Neil Island that is famous for its crystal clear and calm waters. Or Barracuda City near Havelock where you might encounter sea turtles.

The Natural Bridge on Neil Island

If you are looking for the perfect white sandy beaches in Andaman, head over to Neil Island. Famed for its natural splendour that includes crystal clear waters, beautiful beaches and tropical woodlands, Neil Island will surely blow your mind with its enchanting beauty. It is the perfect place to spend some quality time with your partner. Do not miss Ramnagar, Bharatpur and Laxmanpur beaches, but perhaps the most romantic spot on Neil Island is Natural Bridge that is located only two kilometers away from the jetty. Accessible only during the low tide, the Natural Bridge is a precarious rock formation right at the water’s edge that is stunning to look at.

Underwater Sea Walk at Elephant Beach

Elephant beach on Havelock island is another must-visit spot in the Andaman Islands. The spectacularly pristine white sandy beach is especially famous for the fact that you can spot corals just one meter into the water! One of the most fun activities that you could only do at the Elephant beach is go for an underwater sea walk. With a helmet that will give you a supply of air through a pipe, you will be able to walk six to seven meters under water and explore the marine life up close and personal. Look for the vast species of coral and exotic fish in their natural environments.

Candle Light Dinner Date in Havelock

What’s more romantic than an intimate candle light dinner right on the beach with cool seawater lapping at your feet, together with the most delicious cuisine being served for your pleasure? If you and your partner are crazy about seafood, Andaman is the place to be. Nobody makes seafood the way it is made in Andaman, and it is an almost religious experience to sample some of the local delicacies. We recommend a dinner date at the beautiful Something Different Beachside Cafe – it is rumoured to serve the best grilled fish and lobster in town.

Andaman is the perfect setting for the most romantic honeymoon, with its picture postcard looks and a plethora of fun activities for couples.
